Care and nursing homes

Long term residents or respite care

If you’re living in a care or nursing home, whether for a short period of respite or on a permanent basis, we’re very happy to come to you. We regularly work with people in a range of care settings and really enjoy getting to know our patients, understanding what matters to them and helping them maintain or improve their mobility and independence.

Physiotherapy can be helpful for a wide variety of goals, including:
Maintaining mobility – helping you stay as active, mobile and independent as possible over the longer term.
Improving mobility – working towards better strength, balance, confidence and movement over a shorter period.
Rehabilitation after a hospital stay – helping you regain strength and mobility if you’ve lost some of your previous ability following an illness or hospital admission.
Recovery after surgery – supporting your rehabilitation following joint replacements or other operations.
Working towards a specific goal – sometimes it’s the little things that matter most.

We’ve helped people work towards being mobile enough to attend a wedding, get safely in and out of a car, or take part in an important family occasion. Whatever your starting point, we’ll work with you to set realistic, meaningful goals and develop a programme that is tailored to your needs.

Our aim is not simply to improve your physical ability, but to help you feel more confident and capable in your everyday life.
